Face Lift

A facelift is a surgical procedure intended to treat aging-related sagging and wrinkles. The facial skin loses elasticity with age, which causes drooping and uneven contours, particularly around the jawline and in the midface region. A number of factors, including as skin thinning, facial fat loss, gravity, UV damage, smoking, as well as heredity and stress, can cause the face to lose its young features.

A full or complete facelift reduces extra fat, tightens muscles, and redrapes skin to enhance the skin and tissues of the lower two-thirds of the face, from the ears to the cheeks and down to the jaw line.

You should stop smoking at least 2-3 weeks before the procedure. One week before the procedure, you should stop drinking alcohol, taking blood-thinning medicine and supplements.

Facelift is performed under a general anesthesia. The procedure takes around 4 hours. The day following the procedure, the patients are discharged.

You will be wearing a mask after the procedure.Bruising and swelling commonly occur after facelift surgery. Bruising should begin to disappear after seven to ten days. After one week, the patient may return to work. Sun exposure should be avoided for several months following surgery. It is recommended to use a sunblock that offers both UVA and UVB (ultraviolet) protection.
